For over 48 years, the Losani Homes team has taken great pride in delivering high-quality, custom-built homes across southern Ontario. In so doing, the Losani team supports individuals and families in communities such as Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Binbrook, Brantford, Paris, Beamsville, and Grimsby, offering hope, connection, and support for the underprivileged in these communities.
The Losani Family Foundation, established in 2013, was inspired by Giovanni and Maria Losani’s experience as new Canadians in the 1960s when they were supported by their local church. Giovanni and Maria would never forget this lesson in kindness and along with their children, promised to always ‘pay it forward’. Today, The Losani Family Foundation helps the most vulnerable in our communities providing opportunities for engagement through financial support and volunteerism to a variety of charitable organizations.
The Losani Family Foundation focuses on three key pillars: supporting families facing food insecurity through the financing of food banks, aiding women fleeing domestic violence, and promoting the mental and physical well-being of children.
From 2013 to 2017, the Losani Family Foundation partnered with global charitable organizations to make a difference in the developing world. The Losani Family Foundation brought large-scale development in Kenya by opening an all-girls school, providing clean water, housing, and sustainable income projects. While in Ecuador, a state-of-the-art medical facility was funded and built providing health care for over 2000 villagers living deep in the Amazon jungle. Significant funding, expertise, and staff volunteers were provided for these projects as well as in India creating a historic and proud beginning for the Losani Family Foundation in these countries.
In recent years, the foundation has concentrated its efforts locally. The challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic included higher levels of poverty and a greater need for assistance when the pandemic abated. The Losani Family Foundation has embraced this commitment to local communities for many years through its annual tradition, the Losani Homes Turkey Drive. These efforts have provided massive monetary contributions (in the millions of dollars) to organizations as well as opportunities for volunteerism among Losani Homes’ passionate staff members, in assisting the most disadvantaged among us.
